VILLAGE OF BIRCHWOOD – BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Birchwood Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing to consider a request for a zoning variance.

Applicant: James & Laurie DelMedico
Property: 1112 Maple Terrace Drive, Birchwood, WI
Tax Parcel No. 29497

Request: The applicants are requesting a setback variance from the requirements of Section 28‑451 of the Village Code, which requires a 75‑foot lakeside setback. The requested variance would allow the reconstruction of a previously existing 12’ x 12’ deck and the addition of an approximately 8‑foot‑wide deck walkway on the lakeside of the residence, resulting in a setback of less than or equal to eight (8) feet.

The deck and ground‑level platform previously existed within the setback and were removed due to deterioration. The proposed project is intended to replace and minimally extend the former structure in the same general location.
